Children
At the Congregational Church of Manhasset, we have an
exciting
children's ministry. Under the guidance of our Board of Christian
Education, we seek to raise our church's children as loving,
grace-filled and dedicated members of the Christian faith.
Sunday School
 |
Each Sunday morning at 10 AM our children come
to morning worship in the sanctuary and then are
dismissed to go to the Sunday School assembly. In
the assembly, the children pray together and practice
music they sing in worship on our monthly Family
Sundays. Then the children go to their Sunday School
classes (Pre-K, K-1st, 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th). Class
time centers around a specific Bible story and craft activity.
To find out more about the Sunday School curriculum we use check out Seasons of the Spirit. |

Helping Hands
Projects

|
Once a month, the children participate in a Helping Hands Project where
they have an opportunity to reach out to others in our church, our community and around
the world. In addition, the children give an offering every week that goes to
sponsor a child in a developing country via Children
International. |
Past Helping Hands Projects include:
Planting flowers throughout the church property
Earth Day crafts that recycle common household
items
Crafts with residents at
Wedgewood
Care Center
Valentine's Day Cards for homebound church
members
Gift boxes for
children at the Sankor Village School,
Ghana
Christmas Caroling to homebound church members
Decorating stockings for children at Adventures
in Learning
(after school tutorial program for low-income
children)
Making angels for our church's Angel Tree
(supports ministries
and agencies in our area)
Thanksgiving Cards to homebound church members
Decorating pumpkins for homebound church members
