At the Congregational Church of Manhasset, we are blessed to have
a wonderful staff of clergy and laity who work to serve our community
of faith. Each of them provides her or his unique talents and gifts to
help make our church an exciting and nurturing place.
Jimmy Only--Minister
Jimmy began working at The Congregational Church
of Manhasset in 1994. Before assuming the position
of Minister, Jimmy served our church as Associate
Minister. Originally from Memphis, TN, he holds
degrees from Mississippi State University (BA),
Southern Seminary (M.Div.) and Boston University
(S.T.M.). He also has served on the staff of churches
in Massachusetts and Tennessee, as campus minister
at Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN and
as an intern at Bread for the World in Washington
D.C. In addition to spending lots of time with his wife
Colleen, son Matthew, and daughter Alina, Jimmy
enjoys playing the drums and listening to folk and
classic rock.Lori was called to serve as our new Associate Minister at a meeting of the congregration on Sunday, September 10, 2007. A photo and biography will be coming soon.Lori Burgess -- Associate Minister
Donna Marchese--Church Administrator
Donna is a life-long resident of Manhasset.
She was a member of our church for several
years before coming on as Church
Administrator. She not only manages the
books but also manages to keep most
everything around our church running in
great shape. Donna has a B.A. and M.B.A.
from Adelphi University.
Valerie McDermott--Executive Secretary
Valerie grew up in Queens and still lives
there with her husband and children. She
has worked at our church for over two
years and along with her many other
duties, she keeps Chase and Jimmy in line
(not an easy job). She has a B.A. from
Queens College and is an active member
of Bayside United Methodist Church.
Marge D'Ottavio--Church Secretary
Marge grew up in Yonkers but now lives
with her husband in Queens. She is the
proud mother of three children and
grandmother of four grandchildren. She
bravely battles the never-ending deadlines
of church newsletters and weekly bulletins.
Craig Tocher--Music Director
Craig is originally from Johannesburg, South
Africa. He has extensive experience as a choral
conductor, organist and teacher in South Africa
and in the New York City area. Craig received
his Bachelor of Music degree from the University
of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and holds
a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance
and in Choral Conducting from the Manhattan
School of Music. Currently on the faculty of the
convent of the Sacred Heart in New York City,
he is the chorus accompanist and music teacher
for the lower school and the handbell choir
director for the middle and upper school choirs.
Judy Feuss--Organist
Judy, our organist extraordinaire, is known
throughout our area as not only a great organist
but a wonderful piano teacher. In addition to her
many years of playing at our church, Judy has
played for hundreds, if not thousands, of weddings
and funerals. She also accompanies several choirs
and choral societies. Her musical abilities have
taken her many places, including Washington D.C.,
for a performance at The White House when she was
a teenager. A native of Kansas, Judy received her
Bachelor of Music degree from Wichita State University
and her Master of Fine Arts from C.W. Post College.
She earned teacher certification from Queens College
and has done post-graduate work at the Juilliard School
of Music. She is currently the Chorus Director and
Music Teacher at Northside Elementary School in
Farmingdale, New York..

After retiring from the Marine Corps, Henry
came to work at our church over seventeen
years ago. He directs the work of all of our
sextons and does the "behind the scenes"
work of our church. Henry holds a B.A.
from the University of Buffalo.
