YOUTH CAR WASH

SATURDAY, September 7

Our spring youth car wash will take place on Saturday, September 7 in the church parking lot. We will be washing cars from 9 – 3pm. Come support our youth as we work to help support our neighbors in need through future youth service trips. Donations of any size are appreciated. We are so grateful for our church family and the support of our wider community. We look forward to having you drop by for a wash and to help someone in need. 

 

CHANCEL CHOIR, SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR YOUTH & CHILDREN RESUME

SUNDAY, September 8, 10:00 AM

After summer break, our church program year begins on Sunday, September 8. Our talented Chancel Choir returns to our worship services. Also, Sunday School for children and youth resumes.

MEN'S BREAKFAST AT LANDMARK DINER

TUESDAY, September 10 – 9:00 AM

All men are invited to our monthly breakfast gatherings at the Landmark Diner. Let Jimmy know if you plan to attend. It will be fun and delicious!

MANHASSET 9-11 CANDLELIGHT MEMORIAL SERVICE

WEDNESDAY, September 11 - 8:00 PM

On September 11 at 8:00 PM, the Manhasset Clergy Association is sponsoring the annual 8 PM Manhasset Candlelight Memorial Service in Mary Jane Davies Park on Plandome Road. Plan on attending and bring a candle. (The rain location will be St. Mary's Catholic Church.)

WELCOME BACK SUNDAY AND BRUNCH,

SUNDAY, September 15 - 10:00 AM

Join us for our annual Welcome Back Sunday and Brunch at 11 AM in the Parish Hall. There will be something for everyone--omnivores, carnivores, and vegetarians! 

 

FAMILY SUNDAY, AND BLESSING OF THE BACKPACKS

SUNDAY, September 15 - 10:00 AM

On September 15th, all youth and children are encouraged to bring their backpacks to church for our annual Blessing of the Backpacks. During worship, there will be a special blessing over the bags as we support and encourage our students – from preschoolers to high school seniors! Children will receive a laminated tag with the words “You’ve Got This.” Parents of college students, if you would like Rev. Burgess to send your college kid a tag and a blessing, she is happy to do so! Please give her your student’s mailing address. On Family Sundays, youth will serve as scripture reader and ushers, and our children will hear a special children's sermon up on the chancel with Rev. Burgess.

 

YOUTH AND FAMILY GAME NIGHT

FRIDAY, September 27

Youth and families are invited to join us for a game night in the Parish hall, time TBD. We'll play group games together like kick ball, capture the flag and other requests from the group!. A pizza supper will be provided. Please bring a dessert to share with the group!
